Remember when all homes were a beige, slightly tanned color in the early 2000s? And then we made a hard turn and went straight to crisp white walls? Well, whether we like it or not… tan is back in. We rounded up some of our favorite neutral paint colors that are trending right now, which we think will pair well with many of our wallpaper designs while keeping your home modern and current.
Â
First up is Greek Villa by Sherwin Williams. Greek Villa is a warm, creamy white with a slight beige undertone. It is a fairly light color that reflects a good amount of light without being too obvious. It is a gorgeous soft white that goes well in rooms where you want to create a cozy, warm, and inviting ambiance.
Our second favorite paint color is Natural Linen by Benjamin Moore. It is a warm and calming neutral paint color that can almost be described as a cross between beige and light gray—“greige,” if you will. It can be very calming and will add elegance and depth to any room. It is such a versatile color and will work with many different design styles, from farmhouse chic to a more modern, contemporary home. It’s the ideal color for bedrooms, living rooms, or any space where you want a more neutral palette.
Thirdly, we love Natural Tan by Sherwin Williams. This is a warm, light tan that works well in rooms with a lot of natural light, as well as darker rooms. Natural Tan has a yellow undertone, making it a warm-toned color. If you have a north-facing room or eastern afternoon light, Natural Tan would add a nice balance to your room. If you have a south-facing room, it would look warm and cozy without being too warm or yellow.
These three neutral paints pair perfectly with our new wallpaper design, Swimming Swan Wallpaper. Remember, the quality of light changes throughout the day, so we recommend always using samples of any colors you're deciding between on all walls and in different lighting. Try it out in both artificial and natural light, or even better, leave it on your walls for a few days. Walk by it, stare at it, and take your time.
We hope this helps! And again, as always… remember, your home is a representation of you. These are all just guidelines that we have picked up along the way, but these are not rules. If you want to paint your home lime green because that’s more representative of who you are and your personality… you better believe we are here for it.
